Is there a certain diameter shaft i should use to re-shaft my Odyssey White Ice #9 putter ?

Putting a longer shaft on my White Ice 9 putter. I prefer True Temper shafts, which one should I purchase? Also I've put new shafts on many irons and woods, is it any different with a putter or the same process? Thanks for your answers :)
