What are the odds that a black bear will stalk a human who is fishing alongside a stream?

I'm heading to upper northern Michigan for 4th of July weekend. There are some really beautiful spots up there including brook streams that have great fishing. Last time I was up there in May I was by myself next to the stream and out in the middle of nowhere. Tall brush and woods were all around me. I got a really spooky feeling that something was watching me so I got my stuff and left the area. I know that this is Bear country and Bears are protective of their territory. Would a Black Bear ever attack a human that it saw fishing by himself? Just wanted your input. Thank you :)
