Ipod touch vs Droid incredible 2?

Okay so I have an upgrade in August and im thinking about getting the droid incredible 2 or someother new smartphone that came out but than for my birthday in OCTOBER i REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLYL REALLY SO BAD want an ipod touch!!!!! but my friend said it was really stupid to get both becuz it is the same as the ipod and i know wat ur thinking I CANT BUY AN IPHONE. and ya i want like ipod apps and jsut an ipod touch so bad but ima get a phone first, so do you think it wood be stupid to get both? and do you have this one? wat does it do? thank u :)
